Kia Venga , 2010 - present
The Kia Venga is a new mini minivan produced on the Hyundai i20 and Kia Soul platforms. True homogeneity, it can be called conditional because such a small car cannot have a third row of seats. The name of the car in Spanish means "to arrive" and it is Kia's second small monovolume after the Kia Soul model. At the same time, Venga seems to be consolidating the success of the Kia Group over the past few years, despite the extremely difficult situation in the car market (Hyundai-Kia has recently risen to fourth place among passenger car manufacturers, overtaking Ford). Kia cars are characterized by reliability, affordability and practicality, which are still the most important criteria when buying a car. It’s the first Kia car designed by Peter Schreyer, a former Audi chief designer, and while the Venga doesn’t have some stunning design features, it does look really appealing. Such small monovolumes have really high demands - they must be attractive, roomy and easy to operate. Venga does not disappoint in its space - the 440-liter luggage compartment is really roomy, in case of lack of it you can always fold the seats to a flat surface, as well as push them back and forth. Passengers will have enough space not only for the head, but also for the legs. The interior of the car is not very high quality - hard black plastic is used everywhere, but the assembly of details is solid, and the design is not disappointing. The new Korean will be equipped with 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines, developing from 75 to 115 hp. The fuel is saved by a special Idle & Go (ISG) system, which will automatically switch off the engine when the car stops and restart it when the accelerator is pressed. The modernity, good price and practicality offered by Venga should attract active Europeans.
