The Lybra is based on the Alfa Romeo 156 and replaced the Lancia Dedra. Like the Dedra, the Lybra is produced with sedan and station wagon bodies. The name of the model is a hint to the Latin-sounding sign of the Zodiac Libra. This marks the end of Lancia’s hobby of calling cars in Greek letters. Lybra was produced at the Rivalta plant near Turin until 2002, and later at the Mirafiori plant in Turin itself.
