The all-new Ypsilon generation appeared in 2003 still with only a three-door body and was produced on the basis of the second-generation Fiat Punto. Ypsilon is the best-selling Lancia model, despite the fact that Fiat Auto is trying to represent Lancia as a luxury brand. The engine range is from 1.2 to 1.4 liter petrol to 1.3 MultJet diesel engines with power from 44 kW (60 hp) to 70 kW (95 hp). The second-generation Ypsilon has more interior space and more equipment, which includes standard ABS, air conditioning, and an optional CD player, autopilot, and rain rims. The five-door mini MPV Ypsilon version is sold as the Lancia Musa.
