Elise's car is named in honor of Lisa's granddaughter Elisa. Lotus philosophy - "dynamics due to low weight" was applied by the company's founder Colin Chapman, perfectly applied in this model. The motto commits to the production of passenger cars, emphasizing driving cleanliness and dynamics. The result is a sports car weighing only 720 kg. Elise has a handmade fiberglass body on an aluminum frame - this reduces weight to a minimum. The roadster is capable of reaching a speed of 240 km / h and an acceleration of 0-100 km / h in 5.8s despite the relatively low power of 118 hp. Braking, cornering, fuel economy are also great thanks to the low weight.

The Lotus Elise weighs only 725 kg.

Elise's car is named in honor of Elisa, the granddaughter of the Lotus manager.
