Evora is the first of Lotus' planned model expansion. The Evora is larger than the recent Lotus models - Elise and his brothers Exige, and Europa S. As a result, the Evora is heavier - weighs 1,350 kg and is currently the only Lotus with a 2 + 2 seat configuration, although it is announced that a two-seater will also be produced. version called Plus Zero. It is also the only 2 + 2 coupe with a mid-mounted engine. Lotus believes this car will compete with Porsche Cayman and similar models. The Evora is designed to handle as well as the smaller Elise, but at the same time be more comfortable, quieter and comfortable. The car has a 3.5-liter 276 hp V6 Toyota engine. Inside the interior is decorated with rich leather, metal, everything is driver-oriented. The rear seats are only suitable for children, and several luggage bags can be stored in the luggage compartment. So this fairly practical car with a fairly solid engine and impeccable handling should win more fans for Lotus. Most importantly, Evora lacks the character that the company’s other products can boast.
The name of the car, like other Lotus, begins with the letter "E", which symbolizes the evolutionary character of the Lotus company.

This is the only Lotus with a 2 + 2 seat configuration.
