The Mazda MX-6 was a front-wheel drive coupe mechanically identical to the Mazda 626 and Ford Probe. The main engines offered were a 2.0 L DOHC I4 engine with au 118 hp (88 kW) and a more powerful 2.5 DOHC V6 engine with 164 hp (122 kW). Variants with all-wheel drive were produced. The system controlled the rear wheels electronically - at low speeds (up to 35 km / h) the rear wheels rotated in the opposite direction to the front wheels, and at higher speeds the rear wheels rotated in the same direction as the front wheels. In both cases, the rear wheels rotated ~ 5 degrees. The MX-6 has a round, snug design unlike many cars of the time, making it stand out from its peers. Drivers not only liked the design - it is well managed, quite economical, comfortable. The downsides are small rear seats, a weak 4-cylinder engine, not the highest quality interior materials and only average reliability.
