Mercedes-Benz GLC Class, 2015 - 2022
We finally got a full-fledged competitor to the BMW X3 and Audi Q5! From now on, the name Mercedes-Benz GLC will be used instead of the GLK class name, emphasizing that the SUV is related to the C class. The newcomer has a typical Mercedes design with a large triangular star and drop-shaped headlights on the front and elongated headlights for exclusivity at the rear. How perfectly Mercedes combined the SUV style - the front is similar to all new Mercedes, so you will not confuse the car with anything else. At the end, we see a logical style combination between the larger SUV GLE and the smaller GLA. The silhouette of the car itself is perfectly proportioned, balanced and truly "Mercedes". Inside, we agree on a design analogous to the C-Class, which has already received excellent reviews. There are no complaints about the quality of the materials, especially considering the spartan interior of the predecessor GLK. The rear seats are spacious enough for both the rear seat legs and heads, only the PTO shaft tunnel takes up a lot of space. However, on the road, the Mercedes-Benz GLC does not behave as sportily as the BMW X3 or Porsche Macan, but the level of comfort is the highest even when driving on really poor roads. In terms of capacity, the Mercedes GLC is on par with competitors Audi Q5 or BMW X3. The 550-liter boot is exactly the same capacity as the BMW and 10 liters larger than the Audi. The rear seats can be folded in a ratio of 40:20:40, and when fully folded, we get 1,600 liters of space, which is again equal to what the BMW X3 has. So we have a newcomer to the luxury compact SUV market. We now look forward to the release of the coupe version, which we challenge for the recently introduced BMW X4.
