Forgotten times when the A-Class Mercedes-Benz was a vague blend of hatchback and monovolume, it’s now a sporty little city car. Undoubtedly, this is a car that is loved by the fair sex and respected by the strong. It is true that the popularity of the car is somewhat hampered by the high price, but it is paid for the famous triangular star. The new-generation A-Class Mercedes-Benz continues to develop the so-called "Sensual Purity" design philosophy, although this generation hatchback doesn't look very "sensual." It doesn’t feature more interesting design solutions, and the back looks really boring. Still, it's an attractive car - sporty, low, with an impressive radiator grille and a big Mercedes star in the front. The front of the bonnet is lower than the previous model, emphasizing dynamism and sportiness. However, the biggest advantage of this car, which was emphasized in the marketing of its delivery - is the interior. The salon of the new model has not only changed beyond recognition, but has brought a new sense of quality to the compact class. The instrument panel is divided into two horizontal parts - the lower part is visually separated from the main instrument panel housing and creates the impression of "floating". Appropriate interior lighting is used to enhance this effect. More importantly, the interior of the small Mercedes is very similar to the cars of its bigger brothers - C and E class and has a huge LCD screen. Initially, a new hatchback was introduced with three engine options. Petrol A200 (120 kW / 163 hp and 250 Nm) with 7G-DCT dual-clutch gearbox or six-rail manual transmission, second petrol A250 engine (165 kW / 224 hp and 350 Nm) with 7G-DCT dual-clutch gearbox and diesel A180d (85 kW / 116 hp and 260 Nm) with 7G-DCT dual-clutch gearbox.
