Mercedes-Benz G Class, 1990 - 2018

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a four-wheel drive SUV. It was designed as a military SUV, and from 1979 a civilian version of the SUV was introduced. Designed to be an extremely robust, reliable, true SUV, this car has all three interlocking differentials (one of several SUVs with this feature sold in the U.S. market). In 1990, the G-Class was refurbished, although from the outside the design remained little changed - rough and angular, but it got a whole new interior with wood accents and leather seats. Other innovations include brake ABS, a permanent 4WD system with interlocking differentials. A powerful AMG version with a 5.5-liter V8 engine and 373 kW / 507 hp was also produced, with a maximum torque of 700 Nm. The large car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km / h (limited by electronics).
