Mercedes-Benz G Class, 2018 - present
Kogero is not unaware of how many years this car has been manufactured. For those who do not know, we will say that this well-known car has been manufactured for a very long time, almost unchanged - since 1979. And this new model is just a third generation model. Only a few Koger cars are so timeless - the G-Class Mercedes and the Land-Rover Defender. During these long years of service, the G-Class Mercedes has acquired the status of an almost cult car, loved by both Sheikhs and Hollywood stars. So it’s no surprise that despite being a brand new model, the body design has remained virtually unchanged. Angled lines and wheel arches, steep corners, two large round lamps at the front and a spare wheel hung at the rear are the business card of this car. Why change a design that everyone loves so much? After all, design, regardless of form, can be modern. And here the old interior can’t be modern, so the new-generation SUV has a whole new interior with a huge screen borrowed from the E and S-Class Mercedes. Undoubtedly, this change will be accepted with great joy, because such an expensive car must "earn" the money allocated to it. Now the interior materials meet the level of Mercedes. But even after a major change in the interior, the car’s creators left the passenger’s handle on the dashboard as in the old model - a tribute to history. The new SUV has become 53mm longer and 121mm wider than its predecessor, making it even more popular with Sheikhs and Hollywood stars. Lighter materials save about 170 kilograms of weight and increase stiffness by as much as 55 percent. This will appeal to those who value both ecology and safety. Thanks to the increased dimensions, the G Mercedes has even more interior space - front passengers will have 38 mm more leg and shoulder space, while rear passengers will be able to enjoy up to 150 mm more legroom. It’s fun to know that despite the fact that this car has also come in a time of great change, the G-Class has retained its frame construction, which means this car will continue to be great off-road. Exceptional passability is one of the most famous features of the G-Class Mercedes-Benz SUV. The new suspension and other technical solutions have helped improve the car’s handling both on the road and off-road. The new model can easily overcome water or dirt deposits up to a depth of 70 cm, which is 10 cm more than its predecessor. Possible tilt angles are also increased by 1-7 degrees (up to 31 at the front and up to 30 at the rear). What do you think of this car? Write your opinion in the comments box below.
