Mercedes-Benz GLA Class, 2013 - 2019
It is safe to say that after 10 years of searching, Mercedes has finally discovered its style, which it successfully implements one after another in its models. Here's a new model - the Mercedes-Benz GLA. This small SUV is built on the base of a Class A Mercedes and is designed to compete with the BMW X1 and Audi Q3, which used to occupy their niche. In the foreground comes a huge radiator grille with a humble triangular star in the middle, interestingly shaped lights on the sides, and large air intakes below. Excellent side lines extend throughout the body and "touch" the rear wheel arches. The GLA looks far more impressive than the blank Audi Q3 or the completely unattractive BMW 1 Series BMW. The interior of the SUV is borrowed from the Mercedes A-Class - it is a stylish design and high-quality Mercedes creation for which you will not find any major complaints. The driver's position is extremely comfortable - sitting higher, so there is good visibility in all directions. There may be a shortage of space for passengers' heads unless a panoramic sunroof is booked. On the road, the car behaves more comfortably, not as sporty as a Mercedes-Benz Class A, and has a 50 mm higher chassis. The 4MATIC all-wheel drive system provides good traction and although Mercedes cannot match the BMW X1 in terms of handling, the Audi Q3 is not inferior. This small SUV has a 481-liter boot, which is as much as 40% larger than the A-Class and larger than the BMW X1 or Audi Q3. The Mercedes-Benz GLA is equipped with four engines: two diesel and two petrol, including a GLA 45 AMG version with a 2.0-liter turbo engine achieving an impressive 355 hp.
