The interior and exterior design of the new Pajero has become more elegant and luxurious. Excellent safety - two full-size front airbags, side-impact curtain-type airbags, the Super-Select 4WD II all-wheel drive system combined with stability, traction control and brake force distribution systems. Engines - upgraded 3.2 L diesel with 125 kW (170 hp) and 3.8 L V6 MIVEC petrol with variable valve timing technology with 184 kW (250 hp). Both engines meet the new Euro IV emission standards. Such is the new Pajero, the most powerful and luxurious Mitsubishi SUV ever built.

Car description
I’ve made a choice after considering several options - Mercedes-Benz ML-class, Mercedes-Benz GL-class, Nissan Pathfinder and Mitsubishi Pajero 3.2 Did – and discussing them with the owners (my friends). Eventually I bought 2009 Mitsubishi Pajero from a man who got it from a dealer with no recorded mileage. My two top priorities were: first, to make sure that the mileage of a vehicle I was going to buy hadn’t been rolled back; second, that it would have a full service history. My Mitsubishi Pajero had only 80.000 miles ran. I’ve been enjoying it for more than a month and I don’t have any complaints. Here are a few arguments concerning my decision to buy Pajero. I wasn’t interested in MB ML-class and GL-class with air suspensions and 4WD (I mean that you cannot disconnect the rear axle form the transmission). As far as I was told, all sort of prob come up which have to be eliminated, especially in cold weather. A friend of mine who own MB ML already changed his air suspension despite the fact that the car had been constantly maintained only in the city and on paved roads. These things scared me a little because I love nature especially going on a nature trip. It’s more a city vehicle and for those who like to show off but have not much knowledge about it. I didn’t choose Nissan Pathfinder, the one that my friend has (2009) already started to rust. The interior seems very poor; depreciation of a vehicle was another major factor. Once I drove it and I didn’t like the feeling I experienced – lacks on interior space. Then I started to search in different forums (mainly in Russian). That’s where I got most of the information which I’m sharing with you now. I hope you’ll find it useful. Another common problem –poor quality diesel fuel because Mitsubishi is very sensitive to it. Some owners had to face problems regarding the steering wheel that can be adjusted either up or down; meanwhile others were complaining about their knees excessively bent. What can I say… I’m 186 cm tall and I don’t see it as a prob. To my mind, the seat distance should be simply properly adjusted. While sitting in the driver’s seat you have perfect road visibility (unfortunately this can’t be said about any of the previously mentioned SUVs). One more disadvantage – monthly running costs. Another – a rip detected on the driver’s leather seat had to be repaired. Bear in mind that seat sides are made of faux leather. Due to steep angle, problems with a windshield can be expected too. So far I have no more complaints. If I manage I’ll update my review about running costs.
Recommendations to buyers
Instead of buying a second-hand car, I suggest paying extra for a vehicle having a full service history, well-kept and maintained.
