Nissan 200 SX, 1993 - 2000

The S14 Silvia coupe became lower, wider and slightly shorter than the S13. The new round design visually enhances the car even further. S14 is mechanically very similar to S13. The car lost its folding headlights, and the wheelbase and ramp also increased what contributed to better traction on the road. Unlike export markets, where S14 sales fluctuated, Silvia remained extremely popular in Japan. The S14 engine SR20DET has a Nissan variable shape valve system VTC and a larger T28 turbocharger. The 240SX is very popular with racing and tuning enthusiasts due to its sporty profile and rear-wheel drive. It is also an affordable, economical enough, reliable and really well-managed car. Disadvantages - drivers complain that the seats are not very comfortable, and the power would like more. In 1996, the S14 was refurbished with a more aggressive front with sharper headlights, a new front bumper, bonnet and fenders, and upgraded taillights.
