Introduced in early 2000, the second-generation Nissan Almera differs from its predecessor in its gentle, curved lines. While there are those who believe that the design of the car is blank compared to the competitors, the new Almera has been well sold all over the world. The N16 Almera is manufactured on Nissan’s global MS platform developed after Nissan began partnering with Renault. This platform is the basis for both the new Primera and Almera Tino. The N16 Almera is better controlled, more confident on the road and more dynamic than the old one, even today it is considered to be one of the best managed small family cars on the market, among other things being very reliable and high quality. However, unlike the previous Almera, this generation model has less space for rear passenger legs, this is due to the fact that the car has a smaller than average wheelbase in its class - 2.53 meters. Almera has also received new 1.5-liter turbodiesel engines from the Renault Megane II, the first exchange of mechanical parts between Nissan and Renault.
