In December 2001, Nissan introduced the third-generation Primera. This is the first brand new car since the alliance with Renault. The new Primera has a more radical design than previous boring versions, but sales have not been successful. The most powerful model has a 6-speed gearbox, a 2.0 L 20-valve SR20VE Neo VVL engine with variable valve timing and 150 kW (204 hp) at 7200 rpm and 206 Nm of torque at 5200 rpm.
