The third generation Quest is built on the base of the Nissan Maxima and has very similar exterior and interior designs. The Quest is slightly longer than the class-leading Chrysler minivan and is powered by the well-known Maxima, Altima 3.5 L VQ35DE engine with 240 hp (179 kW) and 328 Nm of torque. The Quest has folding rear and center seats for a flat floor. The third-generation Quest has been praised and criticized for its design, especially the interior, in which devices (speedometer and tachometer) are located above the center console. Perhaps as a result, sales of this model were lower than expected, leading Nissan to later replace the front grille and highly criticized dashboard for the 2007 model. The Quest is very spacious, more spacious than other minivans with convenient access to third-row seats. The car is valued for its standard equipment, powerful engine, comfortable seats and capacity. Economy is not a strength, and the Quest is not very reliable due to problems with brakes, sliding doors and abundant rattles.
