The Opel Astra has always been a popular car, but has never been a true class leader. This model may be a new opportunity. The new Astra has been perfected in all areas, but the competitors are also great - the Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Hyundai i30 and Kia Cee’d are all worthy of praise. Importantly, the Opel Astra has been significantly lightened, with some versions weighing all 200 kg! This affects not only the dynamics, but more importantly, the economy. The Astra has also become more spacious inside, although the dimensions have even been reduced. The design of the car has been cleverly improved - on the one hand it is very close to the predecessor, from the clit we have to admit that both the predecessor and the newcomer look really beautiful. On the front, on the radiator grille, the peculiar "wings" on both sides of the logo stand out - perhaps this is Opel's new front style? An extremely bright line runs through the side, which gives subtlety to the whole design of the car, and at the end there is a very nice transition from the side windows to the rear. A similar solution has already been seen in the new Nissan Murano and I have to admit that this new design solution will be implemented in more than one car. The interior is also similar to the old one, but now the focus is more on the center LCD screen rather than the plethora of buttons on the center console. Rear-seat passengers have 35mm more space on the knees, and enough headroom is also provided despite the coupe-style sloping roof. The luggage space remained the same as its predecessor. Given that the Astra usually costs a little less than many competitors, this stylish car will undoubtedly remain popular on the streets across Europe.
