This is a front or all-wheel drive coupe manufactured on a family Vectra chassis. Therefore, the control properties of Calibra are very similar to Vectra. Only appearing in 1989, the Calibra was the most aerodynamic mass-produced car in the world. This was highlighted during the promotional clips of Calibra. It is also the most aerodynamic ever developed by Opel with an air resistance coefficient (Cd) of only 0.26. It remained the most aerodynamic mass-produced car for the next 10 years before the Honda Insight and Audi A2 models appeared in 1999 with a Cd of 0.25. The most powerful is the turbo 2.0 L variant (150 kW / 204 hp) introduced in 1992 with four-wheel drive, a six-speed Getrag manual transmission that has reached a top speed of 240 km / h. The Calibra was much more popular in Europe than its closest competitor, the Ford Probe, which was slightly weaker and too "American" for most European drivers.
