The new unchanged Peugeot 308 has become the lightest in its class thanks to the new EMP2 platform - even 140 kilograms lighter than the previous version. Despite its extremely compact dimensions (its length is only 4.25 meters), the 308 luggage compartment has been increased to 435 liters. So, it should be a well-managed, economical car. The design of the Peugeot 308 is difficult to describe unambiguously. On the one hand, the new hatchback does not notice the bold lines that Peugeot was famous for, on the other hand, a closer look at the details reveals subtle, refined lines that give a sense of solidity. Inside, the driver is greeted by a new panel style called the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit - similar to the one already seen in the smaller Peugeot 208. It's a minimalist, technology-focused interior with high-quality textiles and other materials, a smaller steering wheel, a Head Up Display-type instrument panel unit, and a large 9.7-inch touchscreen. All this gives a much better impression than competitors Opel Astra or Ford Focus. However, the interior does not have a large space, especially on the rear seats, and if a panoramic roof is installed, there may be a lack of space for the passengers' heads as well. The Peugeot 308 is equipped with extremely economical petrol and HDi diesel engines with CO2 emissions of just 82 g / km (1.2 e-THP for a three-cylinder petrol engine with a turbine). On the road, the car is a bit stiff, especially if it is "wrapped" with larger rims and lower profile tires. The French hatchback is not very stable or sporty when cornering.
