911 - famous, unique and timeless design. The car is known for its rear-mounted engine, as is the Porsche-designed Volkswagen Beetle on which it was based. The 911 was an air-cooled car up to the 996 model in 1998. Since its appearance in 1963, it has undergone continuous development even in the 1980s and 1990s, when Porsche had abandoned the 911 and turned its attention to the Porsche 928. From the outset, the 911 was improved for both private teams and the manufacturer’s own rally, ring and other races. it is announced that it is the most successful race car ever made. This car won most of the races in the 1980s such as the Targa Florio, Daytona, Sebring or Nurburgring even competing with special prototype cars.
The name of this well-known car was supposed to be the Porsche 901, but Peugeot in France has exclusive rights to the name, which consists of three digits with a 0 in the middle. Therefore, the Porsche company decided to change the name and entered 1 instead of 0, giving "911".

The engine of this car is air cooled.

In 2004, Sports Car International magazine named the Porsche 911 the third best sports car of the 1960s.

The most powerful version, called the 911 ST, was for racing. This 911 had 2466 cc or 2492 cc engines with 270 hp (199 kW) power at 8000 rpm. The car weighed just 960 kg. This car won most of the races in the 1980s such as the Targa Florio, Daytona, Sebring or Nurburgring even competing with special prototype cars.
