In 1983, the 928 with a 4.7 L-16v engine was the fastest car sold in North America, and in 1986 it was the fastest road car in the world, reaching 277 km / h in the salt plains of Utah. The 928 had a large, front-mounted, water-cooled V8 engine with rear-wheel drive and a 2 + 2 seat formula. Both seats can be folded up to increase the luggage compartment. The 928 was also the first vehicle to have steering tools on the steering wheel. The mission of this model was really not easy - to replace the 911 model, which has been produced for many years, but as history has shown, some cars are simply irreplaceable.
