Porsche Carrera GT, 2004 - 2006
The Porsche Carrera GT has a center-mounted engine that was originally designed for a 6-cylinder turbo but was later converted to a V10 engine. This V10 was secretly developed for the Porsche Footwork F1 team in 1992. The engine develops 612 hp, and from 0-100 km / h the car accelerates in 3.8 s (although the tests achieved a result of 3.5 s) and reaches a maximum speed of 330 km / h! A traditional manual gearbox was fitted, unlike the competitor’s Ferrari Enzo lever-operated. Carrera GT produced 1270 pcs. the price was $ 444,400, while Ferrari Enzo cost $ 660,000. The Carrera GT has large side air intakes (GT radiators are approximately five times larger than the 911 Turbo), 15-inch ceramic brake discs, 19-inch and 20-inch rims. Like the Porsche 911 models, the GT has an automatic rear spoiler that rises above 110 km / h.
