Renault Talisman, 2015 - 2022
Renault has repeatedly tried to enter the luxury car market - 50 years ago there were 16 innovative models, then 20/30, then 25, and later Safrane and Vel Satis. All of these models were more luxurious than their smaller competitors, but could not match the Mercedes-Benz, Audi or BMW models. The new Talisman will be another attempt to break this ice cream. This model will replace the smaller Laguna and the larger little-known Latitude. So, the new model greets us with a truly impressive design inspired by the previously excellent as well as great Renault examples - Megane and Espace. The company has finally found a great design for the front end, highlighting its identity - a diamond-shaped logo. The shapes of the lights, radiator grille and LED lights complement each other perfectly and fit nicely. At the rear, the headlights are uniquely shaped, which visually widens the car, and the exhaust pipes look extremely solid below. The overall impression of a solid car is similar to the first impression of the first-generation Kia Optima. Looking inside, it can be said that this is the best showroom ever created by Renault. Quality materials are noticeable in the interior, a huge 8.7-inch LCD screen is immediately reminiscent of a Tesla or Volvo XC90 screen. One noticeable drawback - the trim of the center console is made of hard plastic. The company has also paid more attention to the larger model than the Laguna Talisman in terms of comfort - it is an extremely quiet car with a comfortable suspension, and the rear passengers will also feel comfortable thanks to the long wheelbase. Thus, Renault's regular attempt to create a solid and luxurious French car could end up at least in the fact that even if it does not buy Mercedes-Benz, Audi or BMW manufacturers, it will at least significantly damage the VW Passat's position in the market.
