The third-generation Toledo introduced in 2004 has become completely different from previous models. Instead of the traditional three-space bodywork, a monotonous style chosen by Walter de’Silva was chosen. The front of the car is very similar to the recently appeared Seat Altea, the roof line is high and the rear is very similar to the Renault Vel Satis. All claims to sportiness have given way to practicality and a more solid image. The large luggage compartment with a capacity of 500 l is probably the best feature of the car. Under the hood, the Toledo uses the same engines as the Volkswagen Golf Mk5.
The car is extremely reliable - in the reliability charts Toledo stands above its relatives Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf. In the UK, the Seat Toledo was ranked among the 100 most reliable cars of the last decade.
