In 2000, Subaru introduced the "new age" Impreza. This second-generation Impreza has become bigger, safer, tougher, better equipped and more powerful, but has lost its coupe body. Opinions differ on this style, but are generally rated as better than it was in the older Impreza and better than in the Tribeca model. All Imprezos are extremely pleasant to drive, with very good and sharp handling. The cars are characterized by quality, and the station wagon also has a large luggage compartment. The great sound of the boxer engine is also cute to the ears, and the continuous AWD system is always useful in bad road conditions. Among the disadvantages are poor economy, blank design, and not the highest quality materials are used in the interior.
