Subaru has long been known as a manufacturer of excellent all-terrain vehicles. The new Subaru XV is designed for buyers of compact SUVs, of which there are many in Europe. This car is designed to compete with the Nissan Qashqai, Mitsubishi ASX or Hyundai ix35. The car has all the necessary ingredients for crossovers - it is tall, comfortable, roomy, quite economical and most importantly - safe. The design of the Subaru XV is not the horse that must attract potential buyers - the new Subaru-style headlights and radiator grille are installed at the front, and the body lines are dominated by sharp edges. But most importantly, the car creates the impression of a solid car. In fact, it’s just the Impreza’s elevated chassis. Inside the Subaru XV, we find a minimalist style with logically arranged devices, three large air conditioning control wheels and several information screens. True, the quality of plastic is poor. The biggest advantage of the car is its behavior on the road - continuing the good tradition of Subaru, XV also has excellent handling, good reaction to cornering, maneuverability and agility, but there is also a downside - it is a solid suspension, and a lot of noise coming from it. Another advantage is the excellent Subaru permanent all-wheel drive system, which distributes power in a ratio of 50:50 with a manual transmission and 60:40 for cars with a CVT automatic transmission. The Subaru XV is really practical - it's a small but capacious car. The boot holds 380 liters of cargo, and when the rear seats are folded down, you’ll have a total of 1,270 liters. Subaru XV is produced with three engines - 1.6 and 2.0 liters of gasoline and 2.0 liters of diesel. True, the CVT gearbox that is offered with gasoline engines is noisy and inconvenient, so the best choice is a diesel engine with a manual gearbox.
