Tesla Model X, 2016 - present
The recipe for the success of the Model X car is clear - let's take the design and dynamics of the hugely successful Model S, add practicality to the crossover and have a new "bestseller". Wondering if this will work for this newcomer to the market? There are two versions of the Model X in production: the 90D, which reaches 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds, and the faster P90D, which does so in an incredible 3.8 seconds. No further comment is needed to understand that for a 2.5-tonne crossover, this is an incredibly good dynamic that will never cease to amaze the driver. The car is well managed, among other things, because the center of gravity is low thanks to the low-mounted batteries. As expected, the interior of the electric car is very quiet, and thanks to the aerodynamic design and good sound insulation, the noise of tires or wind does not reach the passengers. True car design is fuzzy - Model S styling looks outdated to this day, and the front of the car looks just unfinished. Well, the door that opens upwards. Are they really needed for an SUV that claims to be practical? After all, they open slowly, not to mention that they can easily injure your head. Inside, the car can have a 4, 5, 6 or 7-seater cabin. Passengers sitting on the side can enjoy plenty of space for both feet and head, but those sitting in the middle will have much less of this pleasure. The huge glass roof, which according to Elon Musk is the largest of all production cars, falls into the eye. The dashboard idea is again borrowed from the Model S car. So fans of the brand should like it, even though we were hoping to see new ideas from this innovative company.
