The new Toyota Celica has become lighter, cheaper and more powerful. The new design features sharper lines than the previous generation, but is just as low to the ground - it has already become a Celica brand. Celica is available with two engines - an economical 1.8 L 4-cylinder 140 hp engine and a more powerful 1.8 L 4-cylinder 191 hp engine in Europe. Both of these engines feature Toyota VVT-i’s intelligent variable valve timing system. The Celica is one of the few cars that can offer 100 hp / L for less than $ 27,000 (American market). Celica’s direct competitor in this case is the Acura RSX with a 2.0 L 4-cylinder 200 hp engine. The new Celica not only has a distinctive style, more powerful engines, but is also well-controlled. Complaints relate only to the limited space in the rear seats and poor rear visibility.
