The first-generation Opel Zafira is a small but very practical family minivan. The car was built on the same platform as the 1998 Astra and had a lot of common components with it. The Zafira body was used in GM’s HydroGen3 hydrogen-powered concept. The Zafira A was replaced by the Zafira B in Europe and Japan in 2005, but is still sold in most other markets. Zafira has seven seats arranged in 3 rows. The rear row can be folded to the floor to get more cargo space and not have to dismantle the seats themselves. The system was named Flex 7. A turbo version with a 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine with 147 kW (200 hp) was also produced.
