The Volkswagen Golf Mk6 was unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. The main investment that Volkswagen focused on was to increase production efficiency, which is said to have increased by almost 20% compared to the previous model. The car is equipped with a number of different petrol engines with power ranging from 59 kW (80 hp) to 118 kW (160 hp). The power of direct-injection diesel engines ranges from 81 kW (110 hp) to 103 kW (140 hp). "Hot" versions with even more powerful engines will also be produced. Cars will have DSG-type gearboxes instead of traditional automatic transmissions. The Golf is safe, with seven airbags and a standard Electronic Stability Program (ESP) as standard, and has been rated five stars in Euro NCAP safety tests.
The most powerful version of the Golf R has a 2.0-liter FSI turbo engine with 271 hp (199 kW) and 350 Nm of torque. This Golf accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.5 seconds.
