The finally-introduced next-generation Passat has retained the best features of its predecessor, but at the same time brings innovation and will continue to be among the leaders in its class. Just looking at the new model, you can see much shorter protrusions behind the wheels. As a result, the Passat has an even 79 mm longer wheelbase, although the overall length has even been reduced by a few millimeters. The engines are now mounted below, so the engine cover is below. The front and rear parts have changed slightly, but have become a little sportier. All of these changes give the car a more dynamic look and an extremely strong sense of completeness. The interior has been similarly improved - the design of the panel is simple but attractive, dominated by horizontal air supply openings. The high-quality materials are reminiscent of the Passat's constant climbing on the heels of prestigious cars such as the Audi A4 or the BMW 3 Series. Manufacturers have tried to eliminate the biggest disadvantage of the former Passats - poor handling. The new model is lighter, has a lower center of gravity and a better-adjusted steering wheel, so it’s much better to steer, but as before, it’s comfortable enough.
