The Tiguan is a small SUV-class SUV, the first of its kind in the Volkswagen range and designed to compete with incumbents such as the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V. The name Tiguan was chosen from 350,000 voters in an Auto Bild magazine poll, a combination of two words - tiger and iguana. The car is built on the A5 platform like the Mk5 Golf, and the front is MacPherson-type and the rear multi-link suspension makes the SUV feel like a normal passenger car. The 4Motion all-wheel drive system transfers 90% of the power to the front wheels, but can transfer more power to the rear wheels if required. Although small, there is a lot of space in the interior thanks to the panoramic sunroof, and the materials are of a quality typical of Volkswagen. The design of the car also deserves good words - it is a real combination of dynamism and solidity. The safety of the car was rated 5 stars according to Euro NCAP visibility tests. Disadvantages - keep in mind that this is not a real SUV, as well as the fact that the car does not have a third row of seats.
