The design of the new Volkswagen mini-car is clean, pure, "industrial" - a true follower of the company's Walter de'Silva style. Don't disagree - a really attractive front and a distinctive end. The small car, only 3.5 meters long, boasts a very large wheelbase of 2.42 m. As you know, the larger the wheelbase, the more space the occupants have in the car. There will definitely be enough space for four adult passengers, and 251 liters of luggage (951 liters with the rear seats folded down). With a 1-liter engine, the up! Weighs just 929 kg. Nevertheless, its torsional resistance is best in class. The interior of the car is emphatically clear, comfortable, and the materials used leave only a good impression (no matter how cheap the leather of the steering wheel). The driver's seat can be adjusted flexibly and the steering wheel can be adjusted up or down. "Up!" Is also equipped with air conditioning and heated seats. Inside, there are many different cavities for small items. "Up!" Is the first city car with the City Emergency Braking system. In the event of a road emergency, the front-mounted laser will apply the brakes before the driver can react. It will operate at speeds up to 30 km / h. As you know, most collisions in the city occur at lower speeds. The car has an electronic stability system and anti-lock braking system. On the road, “up!” Behaves as if it were a much larger, higher-class car - the suspension works softly, the grip is good, the corners are felt in turns, but it is not frustrating. Just a great city car. Once again, car manufacturers are proving to us that even small cars can hold much more than you would expect from a vehicle of that price.
Volkswagen up! is the first mini - class car with an automatic braking system.
