Lotus announces that it is the most powerful production car in the world with as much as 2,000 horsepower. In fact, this electric-only car has this power and accelerates to 100 km / h in just 2.5 seconds. And yet ... take a closer look at this car: a perfectly folded body, beautifully matched soft lines - it's all infinitely beautiful. But does the car seem to you like the most powerful king in the automotive world? The car king should roll the asphalt, tear the tires to shreds, explode from the exhaust pipes and make various threatening sounds. Even the name "Evia" is derived from the Hebrew "Eve" meaning "alive." But this car looks more like a mobile phone, of course with a fast processor and still a phone ... But the car is really beautiful - something that Lotus has historically found very difficult to achieve. The rear of the electric car is truly stunning - it is dominated by two large openings running from the side doors. While such an aerodynamic solution is not new, it has been seen in the Ferrari 488 GTB, but Lotus designers gave maximum attention to this solution. Evia is powered by a 70 kWh battery developed in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering. Each of the four engines is wheel-mounted and has 368 kW (500 hp) of power, with a total power of 1,470 kW (2,000 hp) and 1,700 Nm of torque. The car is clad in magnesium alloy wheels with a diameter of 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, fitted with Pirelli Trofeo R tires and braked by the giant AP Racing carbon ceramic brakes. Lotus claims that the Evia can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 3 seconds and from 0 to 300 km / h in less than 9 seconds and accelerate to a maximum speed of 320 km / h, which is really a lot for an electric car. Unfortunately, no data is provided on the distance traveled by the electric vehicle and other details. However, this is not news - as in the past, supercars are bought for non-practical reasons. So who cares if a supercar consumes 100 liters of fuel per 100 km, or a supercar travels 100 km on a single charge.
