Pagani Zonda F, 2005 - 2011
The Pagani Zonda is a sports two-seater with a mid-mounted engine made in Italy. It debuted in 1999, producing about 10 cars a year with a coupe or convertible body. The body is made of carbon fiber, and the car itself was designed with the help of five-time Formula 1 champion Juan Manuel Fangio of Argentina. The car was supposed to be named "Fangio F1", but after Fangio's death in 1995, the name was changed to Zonda - the name of the air stream over Argentina. The Zonda C12 F debuted at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show with a 7.3 L V12 engine (Mercedes-Benz AMG engine) and 602 hp (443 kW), while the special clubsport model has an impressive 650 hp (478 kW). The company promises that the car will reach 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of more than 215 miles per hour (346 km / h). The Zonda F clubsport has a power-to-weight ratio of 528 hp / tonne and is better than the Enzo Ferrari with a ratio of 483 hp / tonne. The Zonda F Clubsport was once the fastest road car in the world, beating the famous Nürburgring 21 km Nordschleife in 7 minutes 24.7 seconds. Now on this track, Zonda is third among the fastest to overtake opponents like the Ferrari Enzo or Porsche Carrera GT. The Zonda Roadster F, tested on the BBC's Top Gear, beat the test track faster than the Bugatti Veyron 16.4!
