With the advent of the Bentley Bentayga on the market, of course, the same car from Rolls-Royce will not have to wait long. Cullinan, the first Rolls-Royce SUV, is named after the largest diamond ever found. The angled shape of the Cullinan is easily recognizable as a typical Rolls-Royce. It's a reliable solution, and it seems that the design of "polished" angled and classic lines, which has been a feature of all the company's cars for almost two decades, is perfect for a large SUV. Rolls-Royce claims it is the most technologically advanced SUV in the world! I wonder what the Range Rover or Bentley companies think about it ... So, the Cullinan is made on the same aluminum platform as the Phantom limousine and that’s the advantage of the coger, or at least exclusivity, as many luxury SUV manufacturers like the Bentley Bentayga or Lamorghini Urus are produced on the basis of mass-sold SUVs. The Cullinan frame is taller and shorter than its limousine equivalent. The Rolls-Royce SUV is truly huge - 5341 mm long, 2164 mm wide and 1835 mm high with a 3295 mm wheelbase. The car has an all-wheel drive mechanism designed to improve maneuverability and increase steering sharpness. Inside, passengers are of course hoping to find a typical Rolls-Royce cabin with the highest quality leather, wood and metal inserts wherever possible and they get it. The design itself isn’t new - basically the front panel is just moved from the same Phantom model. However, the steering wheel is thicker and smaller than the limousine. According to the company, the Cullinan is still a driver’s car, which means SUV owners are likely to drive their own car. At the rear of the cabin are two second-row seats called the Lounge Seat, or individual seats for all the imaginable and unimaginable amenities that make you forget you’re in the car. By the way, the interior of the SUV is divided into three volumes - the passengers sitting in the rear seat are separated from the luggage compartment by a transparent wall. The rear seats can also be folded in 40/20/40 proportions, and in the luggage compartment the Cullinan can offer an impressive 560 liters of luggage space. With the folding rear seats in the Lounge specification, the luggage area can be increased to a total of 1930 liters, and the loading length is as high as 2245 mm. Rolls-Royce says it is more than having a Mercedes-Benz E-Class station wagon, a Volvo V90 or a long-base Range Rover. The Cullinan is fitted with a 6.75-liter V12 Rolls-Royce engine that achieves 563 hp / 420 kW and 850 Nm of torque transmitted to all four wheels.
