Despite the sale of the Saab brand by General Motors, a new generation 9-5 model produced on the GM Epsilon II platform was introduced in 2009. The new model replaced the first-generation 9-5 model, which had been manufactured for many years. And what is the result? The car has unmistakably remained a real Saab, but at the same time it has become much more attractive - the well-known radiator grille on the front, the sleek sides of the car radiate power, and at the rear new headlights that give the car an impression of freshness. Overall, the 9-5 design has become refined, distinctively plump and sturdy. Inside, the well-known Saab themes lack a bit of novelty, but the materials used are not disappointing in their quality. Saab has also upgraded its engine range - the new car will have several 2.0-liter turbodiesels, as well as three petrol engines - from a 1.6-liter turbo to a 2.8-liter V6 with 300 hp.
