Suzuki Swift, 2023 - present
At the end of 2023, Suzuki introduced the fourth generation of its small hatchback Swift. Without a doubt, Swift is one of the most famous models of this Japanese car manufacturer, which has delighted drivers with extremely good handling characteristics, lively small displacement engines and a nice design. By the end of 2023, the Swift was sold in 169 countries, with a total of more than nine million units sold. The new model is now only produced as a five-door hatchback, as there was little demand for the three-door version. Even if the silhouette of the new Swift looks familiar, it's actually a completely new car. The rounded front of the car is accentuated by a large radiator grill, the familiar vertical lights are installed on the sides, the semi-circular engine cover further emphasizes the round shapes of the car, and the bright line running along the entire side visually divides the car into two parts - a decision that, at least to our European eyes, did not go well. For the design of the rear part, the creators of the car spared the rounding and left a similar style as the predecessor. Despite a similar exterior design to its predecessor, the new Swift is 4.6% more aerodynamic. Inside, the most noticeable change is the center-mounted 9-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. Everything else is restrained, logical design, logical arrangement of devices and not very expensive materials. Suzuki has installed sports seats in the front, there will be room for a couple of passengers in the back, because there will be little legroom for the third person sitting in the middle. The trunk is not very big, but it will be enough for the daily routine. Under the hood is a three-cylinder engine with a mild hybrid system that allows you to reduce fuel consumption. Depending on the version, engine power is transmitted to the front or all four wheels.
