In 1997, Toyota introduced the Avensis name, which replaced the previous Carina E model. Like its predecessor, the Avensis is based on the non-European Corona model. The Avensis has a choice of four engines - 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 liters petrol and 2.0 liters turbodiesel and three body types - sedan, hatchback and station wagon. All models have excellent build quality, reliability, spacious and comfortable interior, generous equipment and smooth driving, but what this car does not give is a sense of specialness.
