The Renault company presents already the sixth generation Renault Espace model and this time the French really surprise us. Recently, many brands of knowledge car models are "turning" into crossovers, although before that they were hatchbacks or even sports coupe cars. We especially notice this in the ranges of French manufacturers. However, we really did not expect that the Renault company would turn such a beloved European single-seater, which once popularized the single-seater sector, into a crossover. I wonder how the company will position it. Let's say how to explain to customers how it differs from the identical size and identical design only five-seater Renault Koleos model? If we count how many SUVs or crossovers the Renault company has now, we would get quite a large team: Megane E-Tech, Captur, Austral, Arkana, Koleos and now Espace. Of course, buyers love cars with higher ground clearance, and the trend is that all car models will get it, with the possible exception of sports coupes and convertibles. However, in the case of Renault, it was possible to leave the Koleos as a seven-door SUV and leave the Renault Espace as an exclusive, one of the few minivans on the market and still with an excellent reputation, the model of which has earned a car a year. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how buyers will appreciate this move by Renault. Now the new Renault Espace shares its CMF-CD platform with the Austral crossover. Of course, the French automaker has taken all steps to create a vehicle that can replace the popular minivan - inside, the Renault Espace offers a spacious five- or seven-seater cabin. The seven-seater is a traditional 2-3-2 seating configuration. Car manufacturers have installed a pair of screens on the dashboard. In front of the driver - a 12.3-inch screen is installed in a horizontal position, and in the central part, a 12-inch touch screen is installed vertically. In addition to the features of the CMF-CD modular platform, there is an all-wheel steering system called 4CONTROL, which allows to significantly reduce the turning radius of the car, in addition to improving the handling characteristics at higher speeds.
