Aston Martin DB7, 1994 - 2003
The Aston Martin DB7 is a GT-class coupe or convertible introduced in 1994 and manufactured before 2003. The cheapest variant had a six-cylinder engine and was a class lower than the V8 Virage. This Aston Martin was the most popular in the company's history - it produced more than 7,000 units. The DB7 platform was built using the foundation of the old Jaguar XJS only with many modifications. The design of the car was developed as a Jaguar F-type model, but Ford (at the time both Jaguar and Aston Martin belonged to Ford) abolished this model and the design was modified to look like a typical Aston Martin. The first-generation Jaguar XK-8 also uses this XJ-S / DB-7 platform, but the Aston Martin DB7 is significantly more expensive and more exclusive. In 1999, the DB7 received a powerful V12 engine, this 6.0-liter, 48-valve engine developed 420 hp (313 kW) and 540 Nm of torque. The engine is equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automatic. Aston Martin claims the car reaches a top speed of 299 km / h and accelerates from 0-60 miles per hour (97 km / h) in 4.9 seconds. This DB7 is 4692 mm long, 1830 mm wide, 1243 mm high and weighs 1.8 tons.
