No other car with four rings is closer to motorsport and no one is as fast and dynamic as this R8. Audi introduces the second-generation R8 with a center-mounted V10 engine, the most powerful version of which has 449 kW (610 hp), 560 Nm of torque and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 330 km / h . The high-revving engine, extraordinary dynamics, even more sound, lightweight design (weight reduced from 50 kg to 1454 kg), the all-wheel drive system are all brand new, the work of top Audi engineers. The predecessor of this model once won its place under the sun among titled ancestors such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Porsche. The design of the Audi R8, although modest, had a certain charm and exclusivity. The new model is an evolution of the old - in terms of design, it shows us nothing new, just the newcomer has been adapted to the style of the Audi company (and the entire Volkswagen Group) - sharper lines, more angled lights, slightly changed the shape of the radiator grille. Overall, the car gives a sense of precision. Still, I have to admit that the rounder lines of the old R8 gave more dynamism and visually made the car “more muscular”. Inside, the design has also remained similar, but here the new electronic instrument panel, which we have already seen in the new Audi TT, stands out. This panel can display classic readings, acceleration, congestion force data, or an information environment that highlights the navigation map. The control panel can be operated with a touch-sensitive MMI controller or with the multifunction steering wheel. All of the car’s controls are driver-centered, reminding you once again that you are sitting behind the wheel of a real sports car.

This car does not have EuroNCAP safety rating.
