The first-generation Land Rover Discovery formed the basis of the more luxurious Land Rover Range Rover, with both cars having the same chassis, suspension and 4WD system. "To distinguish these similar models," the Land Rover Discovery comes with a set of smaller engines and the very first games, with only two door bodies. The Discovery model was designed for panels, more for middle-income market segments. The car was designed to compete with Japan’s most popular, inexpensive and well-traveled competitors at the time. Both the two- and four-version Discovery versions were fitted with five seats, and there was the option to fit two more seats in the boot. "Compared to the Range Rover, the Discovery should have a slightly longer rear end, which was even bigger later. To create space for two extra seats in the trunk, the spare wheel has been moved to the outside of the car on the rear door, which traditionally opens to the side. For the same reason, the rear of the car was raised, creating a roof with elevation and elongated windows in the corners of the roof. These design features have now become a Discovery brand. The low-displacement engines were connected to a permanent four-wheel drive system with a lowered gear and a fixed central differential. As we know this simple but very durable car needs remarkably good passability characteristics which has made it popular with a number of people and the vision was their real purpose.
