This is the first car in the famous S-Series to have a powerful 5-cylinder turbo engine. The Audi S2 was built on the base of the Audi B3 80/90 and has a 2.2 L 20-valve turbo petrol engine with 220 hp (later 230 hp) as used by the Sporte Quattro. A similar engine version was used in the Audi 200 20V and Audi 100 S4 models. The S2 had a quattro permanent all-wheel drive system and a manual 5 or 6 gearbox as standard. Initially, the Audi S2 was produced as a 2-door coupe, but later variants of a station wagon and a sedan (produced only 306 units) were introduced. The S2 Avant was also used as the basis for the Audi RS2 Avant model. The coupe accelerates to 100 km / h in 5.8 seconds, has a top speed of 246 km / h, the S2 Avant reaches 100 km / h in 6.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 242 km / h. Great data for a family car.
