The Mazda Tribute crossover was developed in collaboration with Ford Motor Company and is built on the front-wheel-drive Mazda 626 platform, which in turn is the basis for a similar Ford Escape model. The most important difference between the Tribute and the Ford Escape / Maverick is that the Tribute suspension is matched for a stiffer, sportier ride. Drivers love the Tribute’s sharp handling, smooth ride, internal capacity, affordable price and economy. Among the disadvantages are that there is a lot of noise when driving at high speeds, and the seats could be more comfortable.
