The sixth-generation Outback retains the same best-in-class formula - a durable, safe all-wheel-drive all-wheel-drive / SUV with exceptional ride characteristics. The base sixth-generation Outback model features a 2.5L petrol direct-injection FB25D gate. This 2498 cm3 petrol engine can be equipped with a linear Lineartronic transmission. Engine power is 169 hp (124 kW) in the 5000-5800 rpm range and maximum torque is 252 Nm at 3800 rpm.
