The Chevrolet Orlando is a five-door, seven-seater minivan built on a compact sedan Chevrolet Cruze platform and equipped with one of three engines - 1.8 L 139 hp petrol and 2.0 L 129 and 161 HP diesel. Its main competitors in Europe, such as the Renault Scenic and Ford C-Max, already have a well-deserved reputation, so it will not be easy for a newcomer. Looking at the car, we see a design of square rigid shapes with a standard Chevrolet radiator grille, sympathetic headlights, playful body lines and an angled rear end. Although Orlando does not present new design ideas, it looks harmonious and even stands out from conservative competitors. The interior is greeted by an expressive instrument panel with lots of shiny chrome and black glass details. The quality of the assembly is good, but lags behind the class leaders in terms of solidity, completeness and materials used. The space is the biggest trump card in Orlando - the boot volume can be increased from 89 to 1,487 liters depending on the rear seat configuration. All seats can be folded into a flat surface, and the seats themselves are comfortable enough for adults - maybe there is not enough space for the head to sit on the third row of seats. The Orlando suspension is matched for a comfortable enough ride, but it won’t be able to cope properly with large road bumps. The steering also lacks precision and reaction speed, so this car is not caught up for a fun ride on winding country roads or diving in city traffic jams.
