Honda Odyssey, 1999 - 2004

The second-generation Odyssey was significantly larger than the first. It has now become more like a Chrysler-style minivan with two sliding doors instead of the opening and new 210-horsepower V6 engine instead of the weak four-cylinder. The Odyssey offered two sliding doors as standard equipment, while many minivans had only one, and the second such door was optional. The odyssey kept the rear seats folding into a flat floor. This was reflected commercially - the new generation significantly increased sales. Odyssey also offered a satellite navigation system for the first time in a minivan. The car was reliable, comfortable and economical enough, although it had serious problems with the transmission.
