Ford Puma, 2019 - present
After reading the name, did you expect a different car? Not you alone cheat and not just Ford cheat. Indeed, car manufacturers are bringing forgotten but resounding names to new life only this time they are taking on new forms. Like the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, the Ford Puma has gone from being a sports car to a crossover - the most popular car of the last decade. The new Puma welcomes us with a new style of Ford design, the philosophy of which can be defined as less exotic lines and more athletic simplicity. A similar philosophy has been successfully applied by Jaguar, Volvo and Mazda in the past. As a result, the new Puma looks simple but really attractive, like a small Porsche Macan. A small downside unless it’s that in recent years Ford has become extremely similar to each other, so let’s say the Puma is very easy to confuse with the Ford Fiesta. Unlike the exterior design, the car’s interior doesn’t introduce new Ford fashions. It is basically the same interior as the Focus and Fiesta models and although the taste is undisputed, we believe that the dashboard style lags far behind the trends. As an example, we will mention the great style of Mazda in recent years. Ford has previously announced that from now on, every new car from the manufacturer will have at least some electrical solutions and Puma is no exception. The Ford EcoBoost hybrid system, which consists of an 11.5 kW starter-generator and a 48-volt battery, helps Pumai get extra power. The car also has a variety of intelligent driver assistance assistants: Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, road sign and lane recognition technology and New Local Hazard Information. The latter can warn of any obstacle or dangerous situation waiting on the road (eg car breakdown, movement of animals or pedestrians on the road, etc.) before they become visible to the driver. Such possibilities are provided to the car by satellite communication technologies, which transmit the data of driving conditions available to the car from the "data cloud" to emergency services and other vehicles.
