Handsome or monster? Such a question had to be answered when each of us first saw the Nissan Juke. The design of the car will definitely be interesting, unusual and will not leave you indifferent. The creators of the Juke have taken a radical direction - instead of trying to penetrate the already crowded market of small crossovers (especially since another Nissan piece - the Qashqai reigns here), they have created a very unusual car that will definitely attract buyers looking for individualism and exclusivity. The designers of Nissan Design Europe, who created the Nissan Juke look, were simply described as an imaginary future buyer, given creative freedom and that’s the result. The car with a futuristic design is hard to define - a little retro, a little muscular, a little Nissan 370Z ... And yet the car is a success - in Europe, the company is sincerely happy with the sales of Juke. Like Qashqai before, Juke is now attracting all-new Nissan-brand buyers, with about 80 percent of purchases spontaneous. Inside the car, the lines are a bit more restrained, but perfectly match the round body shapes. The soft instrument panel, door lines, high seating must attract a female audience. The Juke is built on a Nissan Micra platform, so a lot of space isn’t worth expecting, especially on the rear seats (especially since the car has a very sloping roof). An interesting solution in the center console - the buttons here have a dual function: when switched to climate control mode, they perform temperature and spray control functions, when you press the D-Mode button, the same buttons change the lighting color, adjust engine and steering parameters. Oddly enough, the car is quiet enough, only the noise from the tires bothers a little. Manufacturers have not forgotten the technological innovations - an individual torque port for each wheel, as well as setting the accelerator, climate control and steering modes on the LCD monitor in the instrument console, even installed an accelerometer (as in the Nissan GT-R supercar). overload acting on the car while in motion. In addition to all the advantages, it should be noted that the Juke is indeed a very easy-to-operate, well-positioned, obedient and manoeuvrable car. True, the car is designed to drive on city streets and does not like off-road. The Juke's suspension, like the Qashqai, is stiff and "successfully" transmits all the bumps in the road, but with less speed, these bumps are felt less. All in all, the Juke looks like a good second family car, perfect for nature trips, shopping or just taking the kids to school.

Car description
This is a really exceptional vehicle which some people tend to like, others – don’t; let’s not forget to mention how easily manoeuvrable it can be. If to be honest I cannot find neither at least one major advantage nor a serious disadvantage. However, you can be turned off by its deceiving lack of space because not much stuff can be loaded in the car’s trunk. This vehicle can be enough comfy only for one or two passengers. If for some reasons you have intention to squeeze three in the back, make sure at least 2 out of 3 will be small children. The interior material didn’t impress me either. What typical for Nissan is the interior trim that looks and feels like budget material, not to mention the seat material that also looks somewhat cheap… After a 50 miles trip with a full cabin of passengers stepping out of a car and stretching out your legs gives an excellent feeling! I’ve also noticed how easily the rear arches can be scratched.
Performance
All in all I can say that the 1.5 dCi engine is taken from Renault and can be characterized as being not really economical, too loud and lacking of traction.
Reliability, running costs
Since I bought a brand new vehicle I have nothing to add about my overall running costs. I believe in the future it’ll def lose its value for plenty of Jukes with decent equipment can be spotted on the roads.
Recommendations to buyers
First think twice and don’t rush with your purchase. If you don’t have a need to use the car’s trunk often, don’t have kids and enjoy riding alone or with a partner in this case Nissan Juke will meet your needs :). But if you prefer family trips I suggest to look for a more spacious SUV.
